Tips for a great Winter Market visit

  1. Mark it in your calendar or sign up to our market newsletter

Since the Winter Market happens only every two weeks it can be easy to miss the date. Pick up a flyer with the market days from the table at the entrance and stick to your fridge, set yourself a reminder in your phones’ calendar or sign up to our market newsletter here.

  2. Plan ahead

Some vendors offer online orders to make shopping easy. Please visit our market map to get a vendor list and links to their online stores.

  3. Beat the crowds

Market hours are noon to 4pm. The first and last hour of the market are the busiest. Beat the crowds and visit us in the afternoon!

  4. Bring cash and a shopping bag

Most vendors accept e-transfer or credit/debit cards, however keep in mind that some vendors only accept cash! Stop by the ATM on your way over and don’t forget to bring your reusable shopping bag!

Market FAQS

  • When and where is the market?

The Winter Market is located inside the Revelstoke Community & Aquatic Centre on 600 Campbell Ave. Please use the back entrance on Connaught Ave. It takes place every second week from noon to 4pm and runs from November until April.

  • How do we get to the market? Is there enough space to park?

The Winter Market is just a few steps away from the Downtown core. We suggest to bike or walk to the market. There is free parking on either side of the Rec. Center.

  • Do we have to bring cash or do vendors accept debit/credit?

While a few vendors accept debit/credit cards it is recommended to bring cash. Our location is very close to the downtown banks and several ATMs are accessible.

  • How “local” are the vendors and their products?

When selecting vendors and their products priority is given to “uber local” products, followed by “local” and then “regionally local”. “Uber local” is defined as those products that originate from within 16 km of the City of Revelstoke. “Local” is defined as those products that originate from within the North Columbia Valley (Shelter Bay to Mica Dam), and “regionally local” products originate from within 250km of the City of Revelstoke, namely the Thompson-Okanagan and Kootenay regions.

  • Are there any Covid19 restrictions?

At the moment there are no restrictions for indoor farmers markets. We are prepared to take measure should another Covid19 wave hit our town.
